1. Poker players.

Poker players spend a lot of money on poker tables and chips. According to one agent, the value of every playing table in the world is worth some $2 billion to them. The agents we spoke with made their estimates based purely on how much a player spends. However, poker players aren’t necessarily the most highly compensated. The top earners at these gigs? An American Express cardholder and a poker player who’s from Puerto Rico.

For the most part, they make the same money whether they play as a professional or as a recreational user of the tables. And they’re paid on the spot with no commission paid by either party.

2. Casino insiders.

One poker player on the agents’ list was a casino insider for more than 40 years. He also works as a casino supervisor on the lower end of the skill level and makes about 10 times what his professional colleagues. Because the top players at those tables make much more, it may have had a lot to do with the fact that he also makes money on a regular basis managing all the tables in his casino.
