We offer some practical strategies. Take the dance class or work a class with a partner while you’re in the bathroom. A dance with a partner or the bathroom might work better! Another place you can start is by working out with a partner. Then you can go up and down on a stationary exercise ball with your partner. You can do yoga stretches with a partner. You can also try running or walking with a partner.

We also do “practice yoga classes.” These classes are free and we have no time or space limits. If you’re available at this time, please contact us.

Can I bring my child or partner to the dance or workout?

Absolutely! If the class isn’t being offered or you’re not available, you can bring your child to the exercise ball to participate. However, you should not perform any activities, dance actions, or dance steps at that time.

We don’t allow any contact of minors (under the age of 16) at the dance or workout. But we do allow you to bring your child (and partner) to practice any yoga techniques you do to warm up.

What happens after the dance is over?

What is a group project?

At the end of each Dance class, the whole class is asked to give a group project. Parents and children are encouraged to help each other in order to keep the Dance alive. Projects can include making a “Dance of the Heart,” making a “Dance for Life,” or bringing a “Family Circle” to a dance.

How can I get involved?

At the beginning of each class, you and your partner or partner’s spouse share some information about what their child or young member has been through as they prepare for the Dance to share with the class in support. It will help them to know how
