Asking for trouble, but you can’t help but feel a little sorry for the guy in the picture below. I’m hoping this answer will help you.
I also have a question that is a little more about playing the acoustic guitar rather than a banjo.
I have a friend who plays a flute and I get annoyed when he strums on my guitar. He also plays a little guitar which he puts on the side of the road to play while he’s riding his bike. Now when he stops he leaves both of these guitars on the roadside. If I am the one who strums on the guitar, can I still play the flute without his interference?
Thanks in advance for reading!
If you can, take a good look at the picture before sending me the answer! A little more about strumming on the guitar:
The problem seems to be not just with the guitar at hand, but also the guitar you’re strumming on. If you strum on the guitar, it makes it sound louder. If you strum on the banjo, the sound is softer. Now, this isn’t necessarily the case, it’s just that strumming on the guitar causes a slightly different sound.

From what I can tell, the answer to this one is, yes, you can play on the guitar, just like you can play on most anything (although banjos make you look like a bum). What’s wrong with the banjo is that it is extremely hard to play and the string noise isn’t as great as a guitar.
A good thing about playing the guitar like you’re playing it is that you can play the guitar anywhere: on the road, in a crowd-lined basement bar, even in an airplane. You can play with the banjo in the same spot. However, the banjo’s sound is so harsh that most banjos are very annoying to play.
However, the banjo is not the only instrument that can be played on the guitar. What about the banjo?
